Emails with the title: *** VIRUS: Worm.Mydoom.M in SMTP ***

  • We are testing out an open source solution for SPAM that also does Antivirus tests. You should see something near the top of the message like this: Copfilter detected a VIRUS in an email sent to you (SMTP)! Mainly this is just telling you it found a virus and stopped it from being delivered. We have two lines of defense against viruses with this solution. This may or may not continue depending on what solution we decide to use.

Emails with the title: *** SPAM *** [4.5/3.0]

  • This is also part of the SPAM solution we are testing. If it scores over 3 it will mark the email as SPAM. In the future if we choose to keep this solution there will be a way to deal with false positives.
